Iowa State has a basketball team on the rise, but the loss of second-leading scorer Bryce Dejean-Jones may be a brutal blow.
Bryce Dejean-Jones is the second leading scorer for the Iowa State Cyclones basketball team but he’s in a bit of legal trouble after a party of his got busted up and pot was found at the scene. That’s what is getting the guard in trouble with police as he was arrested and issued three charges that range from two simple misdemeanors to that serious misdemeanor for drug possession.

According to ESPN.com, Dejean-Jones was busted for having a party that was to loud but for also having marijuana on the scene as well.
"Officers responded to a call on Wednesday night and charged Dejean-Jones with a nuisance party violation and a noise ordinance violation — two simple misdemeanors. He also was charged with gathering where marijuana is used, which is a serious misdemeanor."
It’s a blow to the Cyclones, who are the No. 14 ranked team in the AP Top 25 at the moment and are losing their second leading scorer thanks to this arrest. It’s unclear if he’ll be given a suspension over this or not, but some sort of discipline is likely going to come due to the arrest. Dejean-Jones is on his third team of his college career, as he began his career at USC before transferring to UNLV and finally Iowa State where the Cyclones are still hoping he can return and be a star for them this year.
