Peyton Manning Insists He’s Healthy Amid Concerns
By Cory Buck
Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning insisted to the media that his health is as good as it can be at age 38.
The Denver Broncos haven’t feasted on their opponents in their usually demoralizing fashion, so naturally people are worried if this could finally be the day of Peyton Manning’s reckoning. Could age finally be catching up with the Hall of Fame quarerback? Not a chance, said Manning.

“I feel good physically and am certainly looking to play better,” Manning said per the Denver Post. While he averaged over 330 yards of passing per game in his first ten games, he’s averaged just 203 yards in his last three, prompting concern from the Broncos faithful.
While Manning appreciates the concern, coach John Fox notes that it’s wildly overblown.
“I can’t speak for likes and dislikes, but all I can tell you (is), we’re fine. We just happened to run the ball a little bit more the last couple weeks. It had nothing to do with Peyton’s ability as a quarterback. Look at the statistics. He’s one of the top quarterbacks in the league. There’s nothing wrong with him.”
The Buffalo Bills snapped Manning’s 52-game passing TD streak in Week 14 action, which prompted the discussion that’s brewed all week. While the Broncos haven’t been as explosive on offense, it’s come with greater team balance, which could benefit them more in the long run, when they play those cold playoff games. Expect Manning to get back on track on the road against the San Diego Chargers in Week 15.
