The NFL Draft is a lot closer than we all think, with some of the best college players in the country deciding to declare for the draft.
It’s looking like this year’s draft class for the NFL won’t be as strong as it was in years past, but that doesn’t mean we’re not going to have some solid names trying to try their hand at professional football. Heisman Trophy candidate Melvin Gordon declared his intentions to enter the NFL Draft this week and he’s being followed by a UCLA quarterback — Brett Hundley.

Bruins head coach Jim Mora talked with Ryan Kartje of the Orange County Register, and confirmed that Hundley is going to be entering the draft, with the Bruins trip to the Alamo Bowl against the Kansas State Wildcats being his last game.
"“This will be his last game as a UCLA Bruin,” Mora said of Hundley. “I don’t know that he’s announced it yet, but we all know that’s the case. I’d like him to go out with a successful game.”"
Hundley isn’t a top quarterback prospect but he’s a guy that someone will likely spend a draft pick on before the late rounds. Right now it’s looking like Hundley could be drafted between rounds two and four with teams like the Chicago Bears, Arizona Cardinals, Houston Texans and Washington Redskins all possibilities to spend a pick in that range on a quarterback.
It’s been a wild career for Hundley at UCLA, but he enters the NFL with tools that could make him a decent starter, and the chances he gets that opportunity are high given the amount of teams looking for a project quarterback like Hundley represents.
