New York Knicks Say Iman Shumpert Suffered Dislocated Shoulder
By Josh Hill
The New York Knicks season keeps getting worse and worse as guard Iman Shumpert has trashed his trade value by dislocated his shoulder.
Iman Shumpert is one of many New York Knicks players who could be moved before the season reaches its conclusion. If the first half of the year has taught us anything, it’s that said conclusion of the season will not see the Knicks in any sort of prominent position in the Eastern Conference.

New York almost moved Shumpert at the trade deadline last year, with a deal involving the Clippers falling through at the last minute and deals with Oklahoma State and Miami not gaining traction. Those are deals that could be revisited, as the Knicks need to get assets for the future and need to mortgage whatever they can to ascertain that.
Shumpert suffered a dislocated shoulder in the Knicks game on Friday night, meaning whatever trade value he may have had is now significantly diminished.
Shumpert isn’t a bad prospect to have on your roster, as it wasn’t that long ago that his high top wasn’t the only thing on the rise. Nowadays though, injuries have plagued him and he hasn’t been the same guy he looked to be pre-ACL injury in 2012.
There are a number of teams that could use him off their bench, like the Clippers, Thunder, Heat and Pacers but it’s going to be a hard sell for Phil Jackson when the guy e’s trying to trade is damaged goods on top of damaged goods.
