Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots

It is really difficult to know what to make of the Miami Dolphins. Somehow, despite the feeling that this is not a great team, they have a shot at making the playoffs. They need to just about win out, while also having to have a combination of Baltimore, Pittsburgh, San Diego, Houston, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Kansas City lose, if they want a Wild Card spot.

Are they up to the task of taking down New England in Foxboro? I want to say yes but it’s really hard to buy into that.

Especially as well as New England is playing right now—and has been playing at home, where they have not lost a game.

Tom Brady and company are playing lights out right now, so what can Miami do to win this game?

It’s going to have to come down to Ryan Tannehill, who has had his share of ups and downs this season. Tannehill is going to have to find a way to overcome a shaky offensive line and an underwhelming receiving corps to beat New England in their own house. It’s no easy task, but consider this a game to show ups just how far he has come and whether or not the Dolphins can continue to build on him.

In this case, there is more than a win against a division rival or a playoff spot at stake—there are jobs on the line as well.
