NBA Trade Rumors: Pacers Interested In Trading For Lance Stephenson
By Josh Hill
The Charlotte Hornets made a mistake when they signed Lance Stephenson in the offseason, and less then six months after the deal they’re looking to trade him — to the Indiana Pacers?
Lance Stephenson has made name for himself for being a goof on the court, but that’s not what the Charlotte Hornets wanted from him when they handed him a massive free agent deal this summer. Many believed that the Hornets way overpaid for Stephenson, and that’s looking very much the case so far as they’re looking to trade him already.

It hasn’t even been three full months into the NBA season and the Hornets are already trying to jettison Stephenson in a trade. The strangest part about the whole story is that the Indiana Pacers appear to be the team showing interest in acquiring Stephenson from the Hornets.
Adrian Wojnarowski from Yahoo! Sports reports that while talks haven’t gone far between the Pacers and Hornets, talks have indeed taken place.
Won does point out though that the Hornets are not desperate enough to trade Lance Stephenson that they’re willing to attach a first-round pick to the deal.
Either way, there are as many as five teams who the Hornets have talked to about a Lance Stephenson trade, with the Pacers being among the most intriguing options. Stephenson becomes trade eligible this week, and a deal may not take long to come to fruition if Charlotte is really that done with him already.
