There have been quite a few strange plays in the NFL this season, and there was another one to open today’s New England Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins rivalry game.
New England stopped the Dolphins to a field goal attempt on their first drive, and ended up blocking the field goal and returning it for a touchdown. Miami is desperately needing a win this afternoon in order to help their playoff chances, but the Patriots are trying to knock their rivals out of contention. Starting the game like this certainly isn’t good news for the Dolphins.
Take a look at the play for yourself:
Needless to say, giving the Patriots this type of a start is extremely bad news for the Dolphins. They desperately need to get off to a quick start, and have to figure out a way to respond to that play. Momentum is a big thing in rivalry games, and the Patriots got that momentum on their side in a big way with this play.
