The Washington Redskins decided to bench former Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Robert Griffin III in favor of Colt McCoy for the remainder of the season. Early in the game against the New York Giants on Sunday, McCoy reinjured his neck and was forced out of the game.

That brought Griffin back onto the field for the Redskins, and it looks like his downfall this season and time on the bench might have lit a fire under his butt. He went 6-for-6 on his first drive in the game, throwing for 75 yards and a touchdown.
If he can continue that production for the rest of the game, he could re-earn the starting spot and possibly his spot as this team’s quarterback for the remainder of this season and the upcoming 2015 season.
