Ryan Fitzpatrick Out For Season With Broken Leg
By Evan Massey
Houston Texans quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick is done for the rest of the NFL season due to a broken leg that he suffered against the Indianapolis Colts.
The Houston Texans received some disappointing news following Ryan Fitzpatrick’s leg injury against the Indianapolis Colts, and that news is that he will miss the remainder of the season due to a broken leg. It was fairly obvious that his leg was broken on the replay, as well as the fact that his leg was placed in an air cast before he was taken off of the field.

Fitzpatrick had just started coming into his own with the Texans, and head coach Bill O’Brien was very happy with the fit that he was for his offense. The Texans already lost quarterback Ryan Mallett for the season, and now starting duties will turn to rookie quarterback Tom Savage.
Obviously this type of injury is never easy for any player to recover from, and our thoughts and prayers are with him as he goes through a very painful recovery. He should be back and just fine for next season, and it will be interesting to see if he comes back as the starting quarterback.
Houston will now get a nice long look at Savage throughout the rest of the season to see exactly what they have for the future. They were very high on him in the NFL Draft, and believe that he has the potential to be a future starter. It will also be interesting to see whether or not the Texans go out and sign another quarterback, and who that quarterback would be if they do.
