Shea Weber Bleeds Through Jersey, No One Sure Why
Shea Weber seems a little bloody during Nashville’s 2-0 loss to the San Jose Sharks
So I’ve been fairly critical this season, as a member of the generalized hockey media, of the San Jose Sharks this season. Like, why did they lose to the Edmonton Oilers… and why are they shanking Shea Weber?

Really, though — why did Shea Weber leave the game dripping blood from his jersey?
I almost missed it while watching the game, only noticing that Shea Weber was leaving the ice as I glanced up from an article about Paul MacLean… but a full day later, there’s still no big news about whether or not Shea Weber got sliced by a skate or a hidden blade.
(I’m kidding. Seriously.)
Weber was walked off the ice sporting a somewhat bloody… well, the best way to describe it is a ‘bloody armpit’ during the Nashville Predator’s 2-0 shutout loss to San Jose on Saturday night. No one really saw what happened, just that the captain is skating off with a bloody jersey… which isn’t exactly what anyone wanted to see. We can presume it was from the skate blade of Tye McGinn; but really, is his skate really sharp enough to cut someone through their jersey that badly?
This has been the season of kind of gruesome skate cuts, so I’m hoping that Weber is okay and back on the ice ASAP.
As for McGinn… maybe not so sharp next time, eh?
