Miami Heat forward Josh McRoberts could miss the remainder of the NBA season with a right lateral meniscus tear.
The Miami Heat signed free agent forward Josh McRoberts this past offseason, and were hoping that he could help make up for the loss of LeBron James. He has dealt with some nagging injuries all year long, and now could miss the remainder of the 2014-15 season due to a torn lateral meniscus.

Obviously this is tough news, as McRoberts had the potential to be a very solid role player for the Heat. He played very well with the Charlotte Hornets last season, and could have had the exact same type of impact with the Heat this season.
Heat announce Josh McRoberts has a right lateral meniscus tear. He is out indefinitely and could be done for the year.

McRoberts has averaged 4.2 points and 2.6 rebounds per game this season, and it appears that it might end like that in his first year with Miami. Both he and Danny Granger have been dealing with injuries, and have been unable to provide any type of support. Miami can only hope that both guys can get back to full health at some point this year.
This is certainly disappointing news, and the Heat are sitting at 11-13 after a tough stretch. Losing James has hurt them just like many expected it to, and they don’t look like a contender.
