2. Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers
Aaron Rodgers came up with a dud of a performance this week against the Buffalo Bills, and he dropped from number one to number two because of it. He has been at the top of the list for awhile now, but looked pretty bad in Buffalo. Despite that fact, he is barely behind first place, and it won’t take too much to get that spot back.
Rodgers has thrown for 3,837 yards, 35 touchdowns, and five interceptions. His interception numbers were extremely impressive heading into the Bills game, but throwing two in one game takes that away just a bit. He is still on track to win the award if he can get back to play his style of football next week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
It will be very intriguing to see how he rebounds after the rough outing that he had against Buffalo. They completely figured out how to lock the Green Bay defense down, and it will be interesting to see if the Buccaneers are able to watch film and figure out how to do it as well.
