Comedian Chris Rock apparently thinks it’s so bad to be New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith that not even Bill Cosby would want to be him.

How bad is Jets quarterback Geno Smith’s situation? So bad that even a guy with as much negative attention as Bill Cosby wouldn’t want to be him, at least, according to Chris Rock.
Rock made an appearance on ESPN’s First Take show to discuss his new movie “Top Five”, as well as the NFL’s decision to penalize players who use the N-word during games. He also discussed his favorite teams in the Jets and the New York Knicks.
He didn’t say a whole lot about the Jets, after all, what is there to say at this point anyway? What he did say garnered some nervous laughter from ESPN hosts.
"“Even Bill Cosby is like, ‘I’m glad I’m not Geno Smith!'” Rock said, in addressing the Jets’ no good, very bad situation. (via Complex Sports)"
Too soon? ESPN hosts Skip Bayless, Stephen A. Smith and Cari Champion seemed to think so if their uncomfortable reaction was any indication.
It’s not the first time Rock has joked about Cosby, however. He used a similar joke with Cosby and Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger last week that predictably got plenty of laughs from Baltimore Ravens fans, but not much love from anyone else.
As for Geno Smith, well, he’d probably find some way to put a positive spin on it.
"“It’s almost exciting to think about all the room for improvement that we have.” (via NJ.com)"
Lest anyone forget his relentlessly positive slogan for the Jets disaster of a season.
