With the holidays right around the corner, here are the top waiver adds in the NBA to give you the best chance of having the best team at Christmas!

*All ownership percentages are courtesy of ESPN.com

Carlos Boozer (LAL PF, 52.4% of leagues): Even with the debacle in Los Angeles, Boozer has quietly put up some good numbers. He has had double-digit rebounds in the last three games, and has had more than 6 in every game since November 28. He periodically comes off the bench behind Jordan Hill and Ed Davis, but is a bigger offensive threat than both. Obviously, Kobe Bryant is going to shoot over 20 shots a game, but Boozer is one of two members of the Lakers shooting over 50% from the field to go along with averaging 11.3 field goal attempts per game.

Patrick Patterson (Tor PF, 12.2% of leagues): An extremely consistent player, Patterson has come off the bench in all but three games this season behind Amir Johnson. Johnson and Patterson are nearly the same player across the board. Patterson has scored double digits in nine of his last ten games. The rebounds have been pretty sparse as it’s tough to grab boards when Jonas Valanciunas is underneath the basket (9.0 rebounds per game which is 3.5 more than the next closest player (Patterson: 5.5)). But in December, Patterson has shot 59% from the field, making him valuable in categorical and points leagues.

Tyler Zeller (Bos C, 16.6% of leagues): At the beginning of the season, who would have guessed that there would be decisions to make in Boston? Both Zeller and fellow center, Kelly Olynyk, have done well in the paint for the Celtics. Most recently, Olynyk scored a career-high 30 points on December 15. However, Olynyk has scored in double figures just four times in his last 11 games including two goose eggs. Zeller has started all eight games in December, and has averaged 11.9 points and 7.4 rebounds. In points leagues, he has scored double digits in all but one game since November 30. The Celtics are not an offensive powerhouse, but Rajon Rondo keeps this team churning and they will always be looking for someone to put the ball through the hoop.

Shabazz Muhammad (Min SF, 11.8% of leagues): Muhammad unfortunately has to play behind star prospect Andrew Wiggins, but has adjusted well to that role. He leads the Timberwolves in scoring in the month of December, including a season-high 28 points on December 14. As mentioned last week, Minnesota is always looking for offense as six players average over 9 points per game (not including currently injured players). Since the start of the month, Muhammad has had 12.4 shots per game, but really shines in efficiency, converting 49.5% of those shots and only turning the ball over 0.5 times per game. To put that in perspective, that turnover rate is fourth-lowest on the team. All three lower than Muhammad average 11.3 minutes per game or fewer.

Robert Covington (Phi PF, 26.0% of leagues): They will take anything they can get in Philadelphia. Eight players average over 20 minutes per game in December, but Covington leads all scorers with 17.3 points per game. For those of you wondering who the heck Robert Covington is, he is a second year player out of Tennessee State. He played only seven games last year as a member of the Houston Rockets. It is pretty bad when your point guard leads the team in rebounding, but that’s just what the 76ers have. However, Covington averages a respectable 6.0 rebounds per game in his last seven contests.

Rodney Stuckey (Ind SG, 15.6% of leagues): In games that Stuckey has played this year, he has scored 9 or more points in every single one of them. With injuries to Paul George and George Hill along with the loss of Lance Stephenson, the Pacers have struggled to regain their footing. Six players average double figures in points with Stuckey leading the charge at 13.2. Not to mention that he has two double-doubles in his last two games. Let me just reiterate that he has not scored less than 9 points once this year. He is a  very versatile player, who will continue to see a bulk of the minutes in Indiana.

Guys I would be comfortable dropping or trading: Robin Lopez (Por C, 63.3% of leagues); Brandon Jennings (Det PG, 73.7% of leagues); Reggie Jackson (OKC PG, 71.6% of leagues); Jabari Parker (MRI could reveal something less severe, but it doesn’t look good)(Mil SF, 81.3% of leagues)
