Report: Jabari Parker Suffers Torn ACL, Out Remainder Of Season For Bucks
By Jack Crosby
The worst fears were confirmed on Tuesday night and that’s the fact that Milwaukee Bucks rookie Jabari Parker has indeed torn his ACL and will miss the remainder of the season.
Monday night Milwaukee Bucks rookie Jabari Parker went down against the Phoenix Suns with what seemed to be a pretty serious knee injury. Parker merely stepped the wrong way on the floor and the knee gave out.
Now on Tuesday night we’re learning that the rookie season for the former Duke star will be coming to a close as he has indeed suffered a torn ACL that will keep him out of action until next season begins.
Initially there was hope that maybe it would just be a sprain, however the tests revealed that he had torn the ligament.
Before the injury, Parker was having a pretty successful rookie campaign for the Bucks, averaging 12.3 points per game with 5.5 rebounds.
Parker was selected with the No. 2 overall pick by the Bucks this past June at the NBA Draft, right behind the Andrew Wiggins selection by the Cleveland Cavaliers.
