John Wall, Liam Neeson Team Up For Spoof Of Taken in Ad

Washington Wizards point guard John Wall and Taken 3 star Liam Neeson teamed up for an ad, spoofing Neeson’s famous phone speech from the first installment of the trilogy.

Cross over promotions are particularly appealing, especially those that are relevant to pop culture. One of the most interesting and entertaining scenes in recent years was Liam Neeson’s list of skills in the form of a threat over the phone to terrorists kidnapping his daughter for the movie Taken.
That has spawned off many internet memes and other hilarious viral content, and the NBA is teaming up with Neeson for a Christmas Day promotion. The third installment of the series is coming out in January, so Neeson re-enacted the scene talking to Washington Wizards point guard on the phone from the perspective of a New York Knicks fan making threats.
It is hilarious, and Wall’s disinterest is even more entertaining as Neeson’s threats fall on deaf ears. Then Wall ends it with a simple “good luck.”
Of course Neeson supporting the Knicks doesn’t necessarily strike fear in opponents around the league given their struggles. Check out the ad below:
