Tom Brady On Broncos’ SB Guarantee: ‘We’ll Talk On The Field’
By Evan Massey
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady said that his team would talk on the field after the Denver Broncos guaranteed an NFL championship.
The Denver Broncos have brought a lot of criticism down on themselves after guaranteeing a Super Bowl win. Defensive lineman Terrance Knighton was the one who guaranteed the Super Bowl win, and New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady had some comments about the guarantee that was made.

New England has already defeated Denver in their head-to-head matchup this season, and they did so fairly convincingly with a 43-21 victory. Brady has won his share of Super Bowls, and he has led the Patriots to many more. It simply isn’t smart to guarantee a Super Bowl win this early in the season, and some around the league have taken notice of that guarantee.
Brady made some comments about how the Patriots feel following the guarantee.
"“Pot Roast is a big man, and I would never say anything to get him mad at me, but I’ll just say there is a lot of football left to be played. They’ll have their chance. We’ll have our chance and we’ll do our talking on the field. It doesn’t matter what you say, it matters what you do and my dad always told me, ‘well done is better than well said.’“In the meantime, we have a lot of football left to be played and it starts this Sunday at the Jets. Nothing is really clinched at this point. There’s still two very important regular season games on our schedule and that is what I am focused on.”"
Pot Roast is Knighton’s nickname, and Brady was making it a point to call him out just a bit.
It is going to be a very intriguing end to the season, and hopefully these two teams can meet once again in the playoffs. At this point in time the only way they could meet is to be in the AFC Championship Game, which would be an extremely entertaining game to watch.
All of that being said, Brady took offense to the comment that Knighton made and this was his polite response. There is a rivalry between these two teams, and the Broncos might have gone too far with the Super Bowl guarantee. The last thing that they want to do is get Tom Brady upset and have to play him when he’s mad and motivated to prove a point.
