Green Bay Packers and NFL superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers criticized the Chicago Bears and starting quarterback Jay Cutler.

Things haven’t been going well for Jay Cutler and the Chicago Bears this season, and there are reports of teammates and coaches leaking criticism of players to the media. Obviously that is a major issue, and Cutler has been unhappy since learning that the criticism linked was directed towards him.

Green Bay Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers made some comments on the situation, and in a roundabout way took a shot at Cutler and the Bears.

“I think there’s a way of doing things when you have issues, and it’s keeping it in-house,” Rodgers said, via Pro Football Talk. “We talk about that with our group a lot, and Mike always talks about, usually on Mondays or Wednesdays, ‘Here’s some of the media topics [that we’ll be asked].’ It gives guys a chance, if there are any questions or anything we need to talk about, to get it out there.”

“The great thing about our team is that we’ve always had really open lines of communication. You know, we’ve had a couple of guys over the years be those unnamed sources, but thankfully Mike and Ted have weeded those guys out. So we’re not worried about these guys ripping on people and going out and doing things. Because if something happens like that, we address it directly.”

Needless to say, the Packers have a great organization right now that is very close with each other. The Bears on the other hand seem to be standing as far apart from each other as possible, and it has really hurt them this season.

Rodgers is having an MVP caliber season and is expected to come out with the trophy, while Cutler is having an incredibly bad season for a player with his talent. He has thrown interceptions way too often, and the offense hasn’t looked like even a shell of the high-powered unit that they were last season. It’s certainly a concern heading to the offseason, and it appears that Bears’ head coach Marc Trestman will be fired.

All of that being said, Rodgers can be very happy that he is a member of the Packers and not the Bears at this point in time. The future is extremely murky for Cutler, but Rodgers is competing for a Super Bowl run this season. It will be intriguing to watch and see what ends up happening with the Bears moving forward.
