Arizona Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said the game plan won’t change with third-string quarterback Ryan Lindley getting the start in Week 16.
Don’t even utter the words ‘game manager’ to Arizona Cardinals coach Bruce Arians. Just because he’s on his third quarterback of this NFL season, doesn’t mean he’s changing the game plan. The plan is to score points, not to manage, and the Cardinals plan to do just that when they host the Seattle Seahawks in Week 16 action.

“No, we don’t do any of that game-management stuff,” Arians said on Pardon The Interruption, per ESPN. “We’re going to sling it.”
Those are some bold words just days before the Cardinals play a team that held them to three points at their last meeting. Last time, it was backup Drew Stanton who got smacked by the Hawks, but with Stanton out, it will be Ryan Lindley’s turn to give it a whirl. No matter for Arians as the plan remains the same.
“To me, it’s, ‘Alright, Ryan, here’s the plan. There’s enough stuff here, give me some shots that you really like and are very comfortable with.’ I think for me, putting him in a comfort level is huge. That’s what separates some coaches who would just say, ‘Hey, you got to play this system.’ We’ll fit the system.”
