Baylor head coach Art Briles would maybe like to see some younger blood on the College Football Playoff Selection Committee.

No one head coach caused more of a public stir when the final College Football Playoff standings were released than Baylor’s Art Briles. With his team left out in the cold in favor of Ohio State, Briles had some criticism about the committee, including the idea that it might need some more southern representation.

Well, now Briles has another suggestion. He wants the committee to be filled with some young blood.

In a recent interview with Heather Dinich of ESPN, Briles brought the idea up of maybe putting an age limit on committee members. The Bears head coach suggested that the bar be set at 35.

He would go on to explain his reasoning.

Could this be a good idea? Maybe, maybe not. But you still have to wonder in the back of your mind whether or not he’d bring these ideas out publicly had Baylor been selected for the Playoff instead of Ohio State.
