If you were unaware by now, Young Money rapper Drake is an official ambassador for the Toronto Raptors, the NBA team in his home town. Last season they had a “Drake Night” honoring him, and on Wedensday night the Raptors had their second “Drake night.”
Before the game, Drake had the honors of announcing the Raptors’ starting line up and he had a bit of fun with it. For example, when introducing Jonas Valanciunas, Drake said: “We’ve given him the street moniker of Big Science.”

He wasn’t the only one that got a special unique introduction, they all did. Drake said Amir Johnson “recently got a tattoo of a Swiffer WetJet,” which would be hilarious if it were only true. Drake also announced to the crowd that Terrence Ross “moonlights as West Coast rapper Kurupt.”
He must of been out of ideas for Landry Fields, saying they “realized tonight we share the same family.” That or they actually realized they were distantly related.
Drake gave Kyle Lowry the nick name of “the baby-face assassin.”
As for Raptors coach Dwane Casey, Drake said he is “the best-dressed man in the NBA.”
