The Boston Celtics have reportedly put guard Rajon Rondo on the trade block once again, this time with some serious intentions to deal him. Well, now a serious suitor has emerged.
According to Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Dallas Mavericks have emerged as a very interested suitor for the services of the veteran guard.
What the Mavericks would be willing to give up for Rondo, we don’t know at this time, but he would be a welcome addition to the starting lineup in Dallas with Dirk Nowitzki, Chandler Parsons and company. At 19-8 on the season so far and third in the Southwest Division, Rondo would give the Mavs a serious boost to the top of the Western Conference.
But, as was stated in the report, the Rockets might not be too far behind, so we could be headed for a Lone Star State showdown for the services of Rondo on the court.
On the season, Rondo is averaging eight points per game with 10.6 assists and 7.5 rebounds.
