In a somewhat stunning move, the Chicago Bears are sitting down Jay Cutler and will start Jimmy Clausen at quarterback this week.
The Chicago Bears are making quite the interesting roster change this week as they get set to take on the Detroit Lions in their Week 16 contest. Actually, they’re making a stunning move as they’re going to have Jay Cutler take some time off and will start Jimmy Clausen under center.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter came with the report just a short time ago about the shocking change taking place in the Windy City.
Stunner from Chicago: Bears starting QB Jimmy Clausen this week, per source.

This caps off what has been a wild season for the starting quarterback in Chicago, Jay Cutler, who signed a monster contract extension with the team earlier in the calendar year.
Things boiled over this past week with the word that his own offensive coordinator had secretly blasted him to the media over his sub-par performance this season, playing a part in the Bears stumbling to a 5-9 record so far this season. Kromer eventually apologized in front of the team and Cutler said that it was not an issue.
Well, something must be going on because there has been a change made under center in Chicago. For the season this year Clausen has thrown for just 42 yards in his limited appearance.
This change, of course, has once again started the trade talk.
Jay Cutler is owed $15.5 million next year, fully guaranteed. So someone is paying that...Nobody can be sure it's Chicago.
