Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III has decided to shut his mount until the end of the season thanks to the twisting of his words
Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III, also known as RGIII, announced that he is staying off of social media platforms for the rest of the season. According to si.com, he claims his words have been “twisted and turned.” Oh the life of an NFL quarterback.

This means no RGIII on Facebook or Twitter or any other social media platform. He’s been in a back and forth with Redskins coach Jay Gruden and just when you think the two are going to say no more, they come back and say a lot more. Now RGIII says he’s had enough until the season is over.
"It just felt like, for me, anything I was saying, whether it was positive or negative, whether it was a positive retweet or anything, was getting twisted and turned against me and against this team"
So now he decides to shut it? Isn’t this kind of like shutting the barn door after the horse has left? I mean, his season is over in 11 days. Is this really punishment for him? For us? He did say only until the end of the season. So I take that to be social media platforms are again free for RGIII once December 29th comes rolling around. I might even hold my breath.
In all seriousness though if he really thinks social media twists and turns his words, that’s not going to change once the season is over. People may not pay as much attention to it until next summer when training camp gets going again but how about he think about staying off longer. Give it a longer rest and come back with a new attitude in July.
