Homecoming is slated early for WWE, which is billing its January 19 episode of Raw at Dallas’ American Airlines Center as a “Raw Reunion” that is scheduled to have a host of legends highlighting a potential lumberjack match.
Among the names slated to appear at what will be the go-home show prior to the January 25 Royal Rumble are Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash, among others. The appearance of Hogan will mark the first time the WWE Hall of Famer has visited Dallas since 2007.
The main event of the night is slated to be a 30-man lumberjack match with John Cena taking on Seth Rollins in what will likely be the last match for Cena before he takes on Brock Lesnar in the main event of the Royal Rumble. Cena and Rollins faced off in the main event of last Monday’s Raw in a steel cage match that led to the interference of Lesnar, who battered Cena, setting the stage for Rollins to gain the win.
Lesnar, the WWE champion, will also be in Dallas that night, as he and the company agreed on adding him to an additional series of television dates leading into Wrestlemania 31. The agreement also squashes any speculation that Lesnar, who is widely rumored to leave WWE after his contract expires at the end of March, would leave the company earlier than expected.
