Arizona Coyotes Looking to Continue Winning
The Arizona Coyotes need to win against teams that aren’t the Edmonton Oilers
The Arizona Coyotes have lost five of their last seven games — and the two wins came courtesy of the Edmonton Oilers.

This isn’t good news for a team that’s looking to remain competitive and develop a loyal fanbase; with every successive loss, the Coyotes saw attendance numbers dwindle a little more. The team’s lease at Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona, includes an out clause if the team loses over fifty million dollars in the first five years of the lease — without some wins, that number will be all too achievable for the franchise.
Luckily for Arizona, this particular roster tends to play well against other Pacific Division teams — and with the season series between the Coyotes and the Los Angeles Kings split at one apiece, the desert dogs are heading into Thursday night’s matchup seeking revenge.
The last meeting between the Coyotes and the Kings was a beatdown for Arizona at the mercy of Kings captain Dustin Brown; two goals to start out the game from Brown gave the defending Stanley Cup champions the momentum to pull ahead and take home an easy victory earlier this month.
This time around, though, the Coyotes are hoping to head in more confident — and with a newly reenergized offense, the team could look to pull a second straight win.
