New England Patriots at New York Jets

This game is an offensive mismatch. The Patriots have Tom Brady who leads a Patriots offense that is averaging 31.6 points per game. The Jets have Geno Smith who leads a Jets offense that is averaging 16.4 points per game. The strength of the Jets team is running the football and stopping the run, but that doesn’t help when you are facing a high powered passing offense and need to score enough points to keep up. I know the game is in New York, but I just don’t see how the Jets can pull this one off.

New York Giants at St. Louis Rams

While the Rams may be giving up 21.2 points per game on the season, they’ve only given up 4.0 points per game in their last three games. In those three games opposing QBs have been sacked 14 times, thrown five interceptions and zero TDs, and are only averaging 200 yards passing per game. That doesn’t bode well for Eli Manning and the Giants who have relied heavily on the passing game in the few wins that they do have. I think the Rams defense will stay hot and their offense will do enough to get the win.
