College Football: R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl Prediction
By Mike Marteny
For the bowl games this year, I will do things a little bit differently to help you place your best/make your picks. Whatever you may choose. I will do each bowl individually with each team’s wins and losses for easy reference.

I finished the regular season at 306-353 on the season. Believe me, I am as disappointed in those numbers as you are. That still won’t keep me from trying to finish strong!
R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl at New Orleans, LA
Nevada(-1.5)
Wins: vs Southern Utah(28-19), vs. Washington State(24-13), at San Jose State(21-10), at BYU(42-35), at Hawaii(26-18), vs. San Diego State(30-14), at UNLV(49-27)
Losses: at Arizona (28-35), vs. Boise State(46-51), vs Colorado State(24-31), at Air Force(38-45 OT), vs Fresno State(20-40)
Record vs. Bowl Teams: 2-5
Louisiana-Lafayette
Wins: vs. Southern(45-6), vs. Georgia State(34-31), at Texas State(34-10), vs. Arkansas State(55-40), vs. South Alabama(19-9), at New Mexico State(44-16), at Louisiana-Monroe(34-27), at Troy(42-23)
Losses: vs. Louisiana Tech(20-48), at Mississippi(15-56), at Boise State(9-34), vs. Appalachian State(16-35)
Record vs. Bowl Teams: 2-3
Common Opponents:
Boise State. Both lost to Boise, but Lafayette got destroyed in that game. It wasn’t close. Nevada looked like they were headed towards the same fate, but stormed back in the fourth quarter, and had a chance to win it at the end. Advantage: NEVADA.
Prediction:
This is a low spread. Nevada QB Cody Fajardo is hands down the best player in this game, and it will likely show. This spread should be at least a TD, if not more. Lafayette got blown out in their four losses. The only game in which Nevada really didn’t show up was the game against Fresno. I have to go with Nevada in this one, and it might not be close. I would take the Wolfpack for anything under ten. I don’t care that the game is practically a home game for the Cajuns. They won’t stop Fajardo Pick: NEVADA
