New England Patriots and former New York Jets star cornerback feels ‘sad’ for the situation that NFL head coach Rex Ryan is in.
Darrelle Revis used to be the franchise player for the New York Jets and now he is one of the best players for their arch-rival New England Patriots.

Things change so quickly, but he still keeps an eye on the Jets. Unfortunately, things have been going badly in New York and head coach Rex Ryan is likely to be fired this coming offseason.
Ryan had success during his tenure with the Jets, but recently it has been a nightmare. Revis feels sad for how things are going down and the situation that Ryan has found himself in.
He recently made some comments to the media about his feelings, and Ryan as a head coach.
"“It’s kind of sad for the position that Rex is in right now, but at the same time [the record is] something that they’ve got to change. I’m really not trying to pay attention to [the Jets’ struggles], I’m really not. Me and Rex have a lot of history and we all know that. Some of those guys are dear to my heart and everything, but like I said, I’ve got to focus on the things that I am doing here, and I wish Rex the best.”"
The Jets are currently sitting at 3-11 this season, and they haven’t shown any signs of life for a few years now. Perhaps the biggest reason for their shortcomings has been the lack of a legitimate quarterback, and this year was a prime example of that.
Geno Smith doesn’t appear to have a future as a starting quarterback with the Jets, while Michael Vick didn’t look all that much better. There are plenty of reasons that the Jets need to move on from Ryan and begin a new era of football. New York has plenty of talent, but they haven’t figured out how to put everything together.
All of that being said, they are headed towards a high draft pick and they want to rebuild around a completely new system. Ryan has done a decent job throughout his career in New York, but it is time for both parties to head separate directions.
