Pittsburgh Steelers Want Fans Help In Beating Chiefs On Sunday

The Pittsburgh Steelers are still fighting for their playoff lives this weekend at home against the Kansas City Chiefs

What is a good way to get your team into the NFL playoffs?  Call on your fans to get loud and rowdy of course.  The Pittsburgh Steelers are calling on their fans to be raucous this Sunday as the Kansas City Chiefs come calling, another team with playoff aspirations.

Here’s the trouble.  The Steelers haven’t played their best football at home this season at times.  They lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  They lost to the New Orleans Saints.   Those are games they should have won given the state of the opponent.  Even though they beat the Houston Texans at home on Monday Night Football, it took almost a half for them to wake up.

They could come out and play like they did against the Indianapolis Colts then I think things are fine.  The crowd has seemed quiet at times this season at home.  But now, bring out the Terrible Towels at Heinz Field.

The Steelers play their last two games of the season at home and that should come as an advantage.  The competition is tough with the Chiefs and next week the Cincinnati Bengals though. Per the team’s official website, Steelers tackle Marcus Gilbert isn’t worried about the fans showing up to help.

"The stadium is going to be rocking this week. We are excited to play in front of the great fans we have.  The teams we are playing are in the hunt along with us.  It’s going to be a playoff atmosphere.  It’s going to be alive.  I expect to see the stadium rocking on Sunday"

With the AFC North and the wild-card still possibilities there is no doubt the team and the fans will do their best to try to step up to the challenge.  It should be fun to watch.
