The Boston Celtics are shopping Rajon Rondo, which means his name is going to be kicked around to just about everywhere, including most recently the Lakers and Rockets.
Rajon Rondo is always on the trade block, it seems, and that’s not going to change with the final year of his contract playing out as we speak. Boston needs to figure out what to do with Rondo moving forward and it seems like a trade is going to happen sooner rather than later to get him to a place where he can win.

Boston has been reportedly talking to Western Conference teams about a Rondo trade, with the Suns, Mavericks and Kings being among their top options. On Wednesday night, the Mavericks were confirmed to be in serious talks with the Celtics and later it was added that two more teams are in the running to acquire Rondo.
According to Marc Stein from ESPN.com, the Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets are both teams that have engaged the Celtics in Rajon Rondo trade talks.
Los Angeles is an interesting wild card here as they have assets to offer and likely won’t get rejected by the NBA like they did with the ill-fated Chris Paul trade a few years ago. From the attractive expiring contract of Steve Nash to Jeremy Lin and draft picks, don’t sleep on the Lakers chances to land Rondo in a trade.
Ditto for the Rockets, who are a team that got torched in the offseason by Chris Bosh and that bad Lakers trade. Despite all of that, Houston is 19-5 and in line for the No. 4 seed in the West if the playoffs started today. Pairing Rondo with Dwight Howard and James Hardin makes the Rockets a team that could become the best team in the West this season.
