Seth Rollins: WWE Would Welcome Back CM Punk

Current WWE superstar Seth Rollins was asked about a potential return to the company by CM Punk, and he thinks it might actually go over pretty well.

As it stands right now, CM Punk is not making his way back into WWE anytime soon, especially now that he has a deal with the UFC in place. However, this is the wrestling business, and as we’ve all learned from the past, you can never really say never.

So if CM Punk were to walk through the doors of WWE again, how would he be received by the locker room? Moreover, how would he be received by the locker room after the recent public comments that he made?

Well, according to the current Money in the Bank holder, Seth Rollins, it might go a little more smoothly than people think.

In a recent radio interview, Rollins was asked whether or not Punk would be welcomed back into the locker room with open arms, and he really doesn’t see the issue, and he even explained his reasoning.

"I don’t see why not. He’s a self-admitted jerk, first of all. And if you listen to his podcast, he didn’t say that he was in a great mood the last few months that he was there. He admitted how grumpy he was and how much of a jerk he was, even more than he already is. I think we would welcome him back. I’m not to hold too much grudges. I think everyone deserves a second chance; an opportunity to redeem themselves. I would welcome him back. I’m sure he would face some resentment, as far as the locker room is concerned. But guys get over that stuff pretty quick. I think if it was best for business, yeah, I would be open to it for sure."

Rollins does have a point. No matter what sort of wrestling grudges we’ve seen throughout history, guys tend to let bygones be bygones rather easily, especially if it’s going to help business.
