Tyler Seguin Flips The Bird At Vancouver Canucks Fans (GIF)
Dallas Stars forward Tyler Seguin flips off a Vancouver Canucks player during Wednesday night’s game.
Dallas Stars forward Tyler Seguin is known around the NHL for his blazing speed, flashy playing style and scoring ability. He is not known, however, for his maturity.
During a stoppage in play in Wednesday night’s game against the Vancouver Canucks, Seguin seems to lick the middle finger of his glove twice, and then proceeds to flip off a Canucks player. The camera cuts off before we can see who exactly it was on the Canucks that Seguin flipped off.
First of all Tyler, what are you doing licking your gloves like your an NFL quarterback? It’s not gonna help you grip your stick bud. That’s what you have tape and grip-tac sticks for. Second of all, gross. Who knows what’s on that glove. Knowing Seguin, I don’t even want to know what could be on that glove. This is why the mumps are spreading throughout the NHL.

There is no doubting the talent level that Seguin has. Coming out of the draft, I knew this kid was going to be superstar and even better than first overall pick that year, Taylor Hall. Seguin currently leads the league in goals with 23 and points with 38. However, it was his attitude that had a lot of teams worried. Which may be why the Edmonton Oilers decided to go with Taylor Hall over Seguin.
The Boston Bruins took a chance on him with the second overall pick, but it eventually didn’t work out. He was traded to Dallas last year because the Bruins felt he wasn’t a good fit in the organization because of his attitude.
Since his move to Dallas though, he has been thriving with his new best friend forever, Jamie Benn. Overall, he does seem to be maturing, but then he does something like this every now and then. While this isn’t really a big deal, and to be honest it is kind of funny, it just shows that he still needs to grow up a bit. It will be interesting to see if the league sends down some kind of punishment for the gesture since it was caught on TV.
Dallas is looking at him to be a leader on this team. He certainly plays like one, now he needs to start acting like one.
