Urban Meyer confirmed on Thursday what a lot of people have figured for quite some time, and that’s that Tim Tebow wants another crack at the big time.

Tim Tebow was on the campus of Ohio State recently where he ended up speaking to the Buckeyes football team ahead of their Sugar Bowl College Football Playoff match up with Alabama. Of course this also meant that there was a reunion between Tebow and his old Florida coach Urban Meyer, how now coaches Ohio State.

Meyer on Thursday spoke a little bit about Tim to the media, and he was quick to reveal that his former Heisman winner would very much like another shot at the NFL.

“He wants another shot at playing,” Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer said at his press conferenceon Thursday. “I hope he gets it. If not, I think he’s going to continue what he’s doing (on ESPN).”

Tebow has done work all season for the upstart SEC Network, and he’s been drawing some rave reviews. The two-time national champion is good on the TV, which people think is more the reason he should give up the NFL dream.

However, as Meyer notes, Tebow is just too driven.

“I love Tim. Tim’s a two-time national champion. Two players (of mine) have that same bizarre work ethic and toughness, it’s John Simon and Tim,” Meyer added. “The players know that it’s different. I had very few jerseys hanging in my office, and his is one of them because of the relentless pursuit of excellence and the way he treats people. It was a great, great conversation with our players. Kind of on the spot.”
