It looks like Florida Gators quarterback Treon Harris has found himself in a bit of trouble after being cited for driving without a driver’s license.
Robbie Andreu of The Gainesville Sun has the details:
Florida quarterback Treon Harris is facing a second-degree misdemeanor charge for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.

According to court records, Harris has never had a driver's license. His arraignment date is Jan. 15 in criminal traffic court.

UPD issued a citation to Harris on Tuesday, according to court records.

This will all be resolved when Harris gets a driver’s license, which will get the charges dropped.
Treon Harris’ attorney, Huntley Johnson, said Harris is in the process of trying to secure a driver’s license.

Johnson said once Harris gets his license, the misdemeanor charge likely will be dropped.

While this is a rather harmless offense in today’s world of athletes getting into trouble, that wasn’t the only incident to be concerned with. Police officers also found marijuana in the car that Harris was driving.
Since he was not the owner of the car, he get off without being charged, luckily enough for him. Harris was in the car with a couple of fellow football players as well, freshman cornerback Jalen Tabor and true freshman defensive back J.C. Jackson.
According to UPD, two small bags of marijuana were found in the car Treon Harris was driving. He was not charged because the car is not his.

According to UPD, two passengers were in the car with Harris, including true freshman cornerback Jalen Tabor and another UF student.

It was the smell of marijuana that got them pulled over as well.
Harris was stopped on Stadium Drive for going 10 mph over the speed limit on Dec. 13 at 11:29 p.m. Smell of marijuana coming from the car.
— Robbie Andreu (@RobbieAndreu) December 19, 2014
Actually just realized that the third passenger in the car with Harris was true freshman DB J.C. Jackson.

While they avoided any legal troubles for the marijuana, they could face discipline from the Student Conduct Board.
Harris, Tabor and Jackson could be facing discipline from a Student Conduct Board, which will investigate the case.

The car Harris was driving did not belong to Tabor or Jackson, either, thus they also were not charged with possession of marijuana.

There is no word yet on how this will impact Florida’s bowl game.
Still waiting to hear from UF if this will impact Harris and Tabor in terms of playing in the Jan. 3 Birmingham Bowl.
