Jonathan Toews just raised the bar to new heights for All-Star Game campaigns and no one may be able to match what the captain from the Chicago Blackhawks just did to earn a spot in the game.

Jonathan Toews wants your vote for the All-Star Game and he’s going to extraordinary lengths to convince you that he’s worthy of your vote. In fact, he’s going so far that he wants to “exercise the right to vote” by donning an 80s inspired workout attire with some of his Blackhawk teammates in this gnarly video.

In a word: Phenomenal.

How about that wink by Patrick Kane at the end?!

This is a pretty big transition from the “Captain Serious” persona that he has shown throughout his career that has resulted in him winning two Stanley Cups, so this display of his fun-loving side of his personality should go a long way toward Captain Serious shedding that all-work, no-fun persona.

Blackhawks fans will be voting early and often to fulfill their duty as a Chicagoan and make sure their captain is represented at the All-Star Game next month in Columbus.

Toews is a two-time All-Star after making the team in 2009 and 2011 and has 28 points in 32 games for the Central Division-leading Blackhawks.

So vote for him, don’t make him frown.
