With the rumors heating up about its possibility in recent days, many in sports understandably think that San Francisco 49ers Jim Harbaugh will become the next coach at Michigan.
But ESPN personality Marcellus Wiley isn’t just reporting that it will happen, he’s reporting that it already has happened.
Wiley’s ESPN Radio appearance came shortly after he tweeted the following.
As Wiley makes light of with the hashtag in his last tweet, he’s generally not known for breaking stories, so we have an interesting situation here. Wiley seems completely confident that Harbaugh has already signed on to coach the Wolverines, yet not only he is the only one reporting it, he’s not a reporter.
Some fans will surely dismiss Wiley’s report and it’s hard to fault them for the reasons we just talked about.
But there was already a lot of smoke here in regards to Harbaugh coaching Michigan and this might be the biggest plume of all.
This is surely a situation to monitor.
