The Dallas Cowboys are in the driver’s seat in the NFC East after beating the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football. They won that game in part because of a three touchdown performance from wide receiver Dez Bryant.
The Indianapolis Colts take on the Cowboys inWeek 16 and are trying to figure out how to keep Dez Bryant from wrecking the game, like he did against the Eagles.
“He’s a nightmare,” Colts coach Chuck Pagano said, via the Dallas Morning News. “He’s one of the most competitive guys that we’ve seen. He’s a great talent. He’s a great player. He’s a combination of size, athleticism and speed. But his competitive nature and his drive and his passion for the game and for his team and for winning is second to none.
“The guy’s a monster. … It’s going to take all hands on deck to just try to contain him and make sure that he doesn’t wreck the game.”
Colts cornerback Vontae Davis is one of the league’s best at his position and will likely be tasked with stoping Bryant. Like Pagano, Davis had praise for Bryant.
“He’s the ultimate competitor,” Davis said. “There’s not too many competitors around the league like Dez Bryant. He’s just one of those guys who hates losing, myself as well, so it should be fun.”
