By Evan Massey
The New York Knicks are reportedly interested in signing Goran Dragic in free agency next offseason.
Goran Dragic is one of the more attractive players that is currently on the trade market, while he will also be a free agent at the end of the season. The New York Knicks are suffering through an embarrassing 5-24 start so far this season, and it has become obvious that they need a lot of help if they’re going to turn things around anytime soon.

It would make a lot of sense for the Knicks to get involved in free agency this coming offseason, and Dragic appears like a great fit. According to a report from the New York post, Dragic definitely views the Knicks as a potential option in free agency.
Take a look at some of his comments following the game about his interest and future free agency.
“Every team that is going to be available for me is going to be an option,” Dragic said. You know, I think New York, they have great base of fans, great basketball organization. In the past few years, they didn’t play so well, but like I said before, that luck can change quick.”
This is certainly something for the Knicks and their fans to keep an eye on moving forward. Dragic is quality basketball player and on paper would be a great sidekick to Carmelo Anthony. Depending on what type of money it would take to get him, the Knicks should definitely look into signing Dragic this coming offseason.
That being said, there are going to be plenty of teams that are interested in signing Dragic. He is one of the more coveted upcoming free agents, and may even end up getting traded prior to the deadline due to his potential to make a difference. The Knicks need a player that can come in and immediately take them a step forward, and that is exactly what Dragic is capable of doing.
Expect to see the Knicks register interest in Dragic, and to see them be one of the teams in consideration when the list is narrowed down to the finalists.
