When the San Diego Chargers looked to be surging in the AFC, at one point appearing to be in the mix for first place in the AFC West. But oh how things have a way of changing and the reality of the San Diego Chargers has fully set in against the San Fransisco 49ers.

The Chargers are in danger of dropping to 8-7 on the season and may even finish the year 8-8 if they can’t beat the Kansas City Chiefs in the final week of the season. All of this is falling back on the typically disappointing Philip Rivers, who has made a career out of flailing like wild man in the face of officials without having much to show for it.
Case in point being his first touchdown of the night — a pass in which he threw the ball to the wrong team.
You don’t have to be a rules expert to know that throwing the ball to the wrong team is not what you want to do. But thus is the reality of being a Chargers fan, as even when the team goes 14-2, like they did so many years ago, or has a magical start to their season, Philip Rivers finds a way to be both the hero and the villain at the same time.
