Jay Cutler has had a rough run with the Chicago Bears, but the quarterback seems to have one more chance left in him as the Bears will be bringing him back for the 2015 season.
After being benched this week by head coach Marc Trestman, the future of Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler is less hazy than it may otherwise seem. The quarterback is no longer in charge in 2014 but that doesn’t mean he won’t be back in 2015 to give it one more try with the Bears.

According to Jason La Canfora from CBS Sports, the Bears are expected to keep Cutler through the 2015 season and see how things go one more time around.
"While head coach Marc Trestman is all but certain of being fired next week and GM Phil Emery could meet the same fate, Cutler’s hefty contract, his recent performance and other factors have created a climate where the Bears are effectively stuck with Cutler for two more years, numerous league sources said."
This is both practical and logical for the Bears as it’s too costly to give Cutler up. The Bears would be on the hook for his salary still if they cut him, even if they’d clear over $10 million from the books. Trading him may require giving up a high draft pick to sweeten the deal, which makes even less sense than releasing him.
La Canfora hinted that Mike Shanahan could be lured to the Bears gig if Cutler is there, which would be the perfect last chance for Cutler. There’s no guarantee that will happen, but it appears Cutler’s tenure in Chicago is not yet over.
