Jimmy Clausen took a pretty hard shot to the head on Sunday against the Detroit Lions while he was sliding.

The Chicago Bears sat down Jay Cutler this week and started Jimmy Clausen in his place. And all things considered, Clausen has played quite well.

Although, there was a really scary moment late in the fourth quarter that could have almost seen Clausen not step on the field again this season.

Clausen took off with the ball, and as any quarterback is taught to do, he went for the slide so he can get up and get the next play off. Well as he was going down, he was met by Ziggy Ansah, and it did not look pretty.

He ended up taking a helmet-to-helmet hit and it looked disastrous.

That looked really rough and it’s a miracle that Clausen is OK after taking a shot like that.

Although, the hit didn’t look all that dirty, it just seemed as if the two met at the absolute wrong time.

While Clausen did play pretty well in this one, the Bears ended up dropping this one to the Lions, 20-14, further adding to the miserable season.
