A dejected New York Jets fan wore a jersey that DYING INSIDE on the nameplate.

That pretty well sums up this year for the Jets. They didn’t get their second win until Week 10, and it’s gotten so bad that the team’s owner is all but confirming that the GM and coach are on their way out.

To rub salt in the wound for fans who have stuck , the Jets beat the Tennessee Titans late in the season, setting them back from potentially getting the top overall pick in the NFL draft.

The team could have used the pick on Heisman winners Marcus Mariota or Jameis Winston, among other potential quarterback candidates who could provide stability to a franchise that needs a new face at its most important position.

The Jets should still get someone who can make an impact right away, but then again plenty of someones have come and gone in Jets Nation to little avail. For some fans at least, that’s led to some sad poetic expressions.
