The Green Bay Packers are wearing captain patches in the regular season for the first time this season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are doing something new against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that they have not done before this regular season. Green Bay is having their captains wear captain patches on their jerseys, something they usually only do in the postseason.

It obviously isn’t that big of a deal, but it’s certainly interesting to see them do that. Green Bay came into this afternoon’s game with the chance to clinch a playoff berth with a win on the road against Tampa Bay. They have had an up-and-down season this year, but are still one of the teams favored to have a chance at representing the NFC in the Super Bowl.
Green Bay has to find a way to come up with a win this afternoon, and it would be interesting to find out why they decided to sew on the patches this week. Perhaps they were looking to receive more leadership from their captains, but whatever the reason may be it is something to take notice of despite how small it may be.
