Glazer arranged for Ava Urrea, who suffers from hypoplastic left heart syndrome, to visit with the Raiders this week. During her time with the Raiders, Ava received some great gifts.
However, it was an incredible gesture from Raiders offensive lineman Menelik Watson that truly showcased the holiday spirit.
Watson surprised Ava and her family by donating his game check.
This season, Watson’s base salary is $622,948. That means his donation came in at $36,944.
It is always great to see these feel-good stories, especially when we see athletes in the headlines for all of the wrong reasons far too often. We wish there were even more of these positive stories to pass along.
