Pete Carroll called tonight’s Sunday Night Football game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Arizona Cardinals the “NFC West Championship Game.”
Apparently Seattle’s fans got the memo. They are coming out in force for the road game in Glendale, Arizona.
That picture is at the stadium about two hours and 30 minutes prior to kickoff. It isn’t the only scene like that around town either. Seattle fans seem to be everywhere in the Phoenix area today.
This isn’t the first time that this has happen in Arizona. The 12th Man typically travels well for games in Glendale. Last season, the Seahawks players and coaches said the game in Arizona “felt like a home game” because of all of Seahawks fans in the building.
If Arizona wins this game they will clinch the NFC West and a first-round bye. A Seattle win gives them the lead in the division. The Seahawks will still need to win next week or have Arizona lose next week in lock up the division title.
