Surprise, surprise… another Rob Gronkowski touchdown.
The New England Patriots’ beast of a tight end scored his 12th touchdown of the 2014 NFL season on Sunday via a 3-yard pass from Tom Brady. The score put the Pats up 7-0 against the rival New York Jets in the second quarter.
Watch a GIF of the play below:
Brady and Gronk have both been outstanding this season after slow starts to begin the year. Entering Sunday’s game, Gronk had 76 catches for 1,093 yards and Brady had 3,847 passing yards and 32 touchdowns.
Behind Brady and Gronk, the Patriots are currently in pole position to earn the AFC’s No. 1 seed. All they need to do is beat the Jets this week and the Buffalo Bills in Week 17 and the top seed is all theirs.
As long as Gronk and Brady are playing as well as they are right now, the Patriots have a great chance to get that No. 1 seed and ultimately earn another trip to the Super Bowl.
