Arian Foster Threatened To Punch Case Keenum For Crying
By Bryce Olin
Emotional after his first win as a starting quarterback, Houston Texans quarterback Case Keenum said Arian Foster was going to punch him if he started crying
After going 0-8 in all eight starts with the Houston Texans in 2013, Texans’ quarterback had a right to be emotional after the Texans’ win over the Baltimore Ravens, but he couldn’t be too emotional.
Texans’ running back Arian Foster allegedly threatened to punch Keenum if he cried, according to a report from CultureMap Houston.
"“I couldn’t put it all into words, how special it was for me. Arian (Foster) said he was going to punch me if I cried.”"
Talk about tough love…
Foster probably isn’t the nicest guy in the world, but he has to be joking right? He’s seems like a pretty good character and jokester, especially when he rocks his English-Irish-possibly-Australian accent.
Maybe Foster just hates Keenum for making them go 0-8 when he was quarterback last season. Who knows?
Just a few weeks ago, Keenum wasn’t even on the Texans’ roster, but injuries to Ryan Mallett, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and rookie Dan Savage forced Houston to sign Keenum and give him the reigns as they try to make one last-ditch effort at making the playoffs.
Houston needs to win at Jacksonville in Week 17– check– to even be in consideration to make the playoffs, but they also need the Baltimore Ravens and the San Diego Chargers to lose as well.
Baltimore plays the Cleveland Browns, who are reportedly prepared to start Connor Shaw, so that should be an easy win for the Ravens. San Diego plays Kansas City, so there’s definitely a possibility Houston could sneak into the playoffs, but it’s going to take everything short of the stars aligning to get the job done.
