Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson had over 100 yards in the team’s win against the Philadelphia Eagles last Saturday, but Eagles coach Chip Kelly doesn’t regret releasing him.

Not that he was likely to say differently, but Eagles coach Chip Kelly said he doesn’t regret releasing DeSean Jackson before the season. Nevertheless, he gave the former Eagles receiver credit for his effort in his new team’s win.
"“We feel confident in what we did,” Kelly said, according to Calvin Watkins of ESPNDallas.com. “He played real well against us. Give him credit.” (via Sports Illustrated)"
Jackson had a total of 126 yards on just four catches in Saturday’s game, and even though the Redskins are long eliminated from the playoffs, the Eagles are too thanks to three losses in a row, which gave the Dallas Cowboys control of the NFC East. Before being released prior to the 2014 season, Jackson had a career season in 2013. It was his first season under Kelly, but the team released him in March allegedly due to his off-field behavior.
Jackson has played particularly well against the Eagles this year, like players often do against their former teams. He has 243 yards in two games and six games this year with at least 115 yards.
The Eagles will finish up the rest of their regular season against the New York Giants on Sunday, while the Redskins will take on the Cowboys at home in a game that is more or less meaningless for both teams at this point.
