The Toronto Raptors and rapper/ambassador Drake are at odds over their new logo.
The Toronto Raptors unveiled a new logo, that was reportedly inspired by rapper Drake. It received a lot of criticism for being eerily similar to the Brooklyn Nets logo.
Drake responded to clear things up and say that he was not involved in this redesign.
@cathalkelly Actually this redesign was executed without me. My collaboration with Mitchell & Ness comes out next season.

Eventually Kelly got more details and elaborated on what happened between the team and the rapper.
"According to sources within MLSE, Drake is upset about two things.First, the “execution.” By that, he apparently means the way in which the images were released. They were first shown briefly in a video released on Friday afternoon. That was quickly followed by a colour image posted to the team’s Facebook page. That was hastily pulled down, replaced by a black-and-white image. Then, much later in the day, a variety of logos were released, in varying colour schemes."
Can’t argue with him being upset about that, a release like that looks bad and hastily done for any major brand. Kelly also claims that Drake is more upset with the color scheme because he wanted his trademarked black and gold color scheme.
But at the same time it is kind of ridiculous for Drake to expect a professional sports franchise to change their color scheme to his liking.
